Star Trek

I'm not a big Trek guy, but I LOVE Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan and nerdcore rap.

That said, this video is fucking awesome. Check it, homes.

I didn't see any way to e-mail you, so I figured I'd mention it here: if you enjoy bad movies and have never seen Death Wish 3, Commando, or American Ninja 1-5 (ok, four was kind of lame) you really have to. I think the American Ninja films are available cheaply on DVD in those multi-pack discs if you want to buy them instead of using Netflix or whatever it is you do.

Oh, I stumbled upon this blog through you post about Rambo 3 (Google search, I wanted to see if anyone found it as surreal of a film as I did), so I figured I'd see if you've seen these. Granted, Commando and Death Wish 3 are just the type of films that topple the bad movie wall and transcend into "amazingly awesome" territory.

P.S. I might also add Steven Seagal's 60 million dollar vanity project, On Deadly Ground, where he fights a Texas oil baron played by Michael Caine from destroying Alaska's enviroment. Apparently, Seagal wrote/directed/starred in this movie, was paid nearly 20+ million in 1992 for it, and it's the one that sunk his cinematic battleship. I might write up a post about that one.

I'm a big fan of American Ninja III: The Domination.

Haven't seen Death Wish 3 since I caught it on Showtime when I was in high school. I recall Bronson gunning down a biker gang with a WWII-era machine gun.

Commando's something I'll loop back around to one day... I wanna catch up on the B-list Ahnuld titles, but right now I'm still catching up on shit I missed in the theater, and Italian horror.

I really didn't mind On Deadly Ground -- within the first couple of minutes, I accepted it on its own lunatic terms and enjoyed it.

I also ascribe to Vern's theory of badass cinema, and the concepts of Seagalogy. I've gone back and re-watched Out for Justice, and it blew me away. Brilliant fucking action movie, I can't exaggerate how much I loved it.
